ARSENE WENGER has warned Tottenham that Arsenal
have goalscorers all over the pitch
.
The Gunners boss suffered ‘one-man-team’ taunts last season as Robin van Persie went on the rampage.
Now Tottenham appear to be as reliant on Gareth Bale as Arsenal were on RVP before he left for Manchester United.
The flying Welshman scored his eighth goal in six appearances with Monday’s superb last-minute winner to beat West Ham 3-2, a victory which lifted Spurs to third.
Bale, 23, has proved crucial to the success of Andre Villas-Boas’ team this season as Tottenham look to finish above their rivals for the first time in almost 20 years.
But Wenger insists his revamped Gunners can score from any area of the pitch and declared his intention of blowing the chase for a Champions League spot wide open when the North London rivals clash at White Hart Lane tomorrow.
Wenger, whose side are unbeaten in five Premier games, said: “I feel we can score from many positions and I prefer that.
“We have many players who can score — Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud, Santi Cazorla, and Lukas Podolski can score, I think Jack Wilshere will score as well, so we have many.
“We have scored more goals than last year, when our efficiency was always depending on Van Persie and I always worried about the day he gets injured.”
