A quick breakdown to put things in perspective:
QPR has 13 games left to make up 7 points and overtake 3 teams. Of those 13 games they still play United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle. Of their remaining 8 games, they are away to Swansea, Southampton, Villa, Fulham and Reading. Which leaves them 3 home games against Stoke, Wigan and Sunderland.
The good news is they still play all the teams they'll need to overtake, so plenty of 6 pointers. The bad news is they play all of those except Wigan away.
And on top of that, Loic Remy just went down for 2 months.
