While browsing the internet, I came across a very well written article.

This article brought up an interesting article that stated something quite profound, the greatest bargain Tottenham has bought in the last decade could be the man standing in goal almost every game, Hugo Lloris. In recent times, we have gotten used to seeing Gareth Bale coming up time and time again. We sometimes forget that one player might not always be able to directly improve the game. A goal keeper was described to me by a friend, who happens to have been a goalkeeper. "Goal keepers are lone wolves and are crazy". Now, I can't say much for the crazy part, but in the end, the goalkeeper is all alone. When it comes down to it, he has to stop that ball from crossing the line. The defenders in front of him are like the Tacoma Bridge, with the right vibration, the defense will fall apart. Any good defense can and will fall. Lloris time and time again has done what very few keepers have been able to do, be dependable. Let me cover myself, I was for Friedel keeping his spot until Lloris earned his spot. Lloris has done more then earn his spot, he is always a first choice in any big game. I know you as a community have maybe not overlooked Lloris on purpose, if you have. I wanted to point out that we have sometimes looked over arguably our greatest asset, Hugo Lloris.
