The deal will be for a reported £15 million, as Tottenham Hotspur acquires its Luka Modric replacement. Dembele's arrival signals what should be an active end to the Tottenham Hotspur transfer window as the club re-invests the funds earned from Modric's sale.
Dembele should be available for the weekend as Tottenham Hotspur hosts Norwich City. Dembele looks likely to slot into central midfield, providing a creative boost for the Spurs attack.
Dembélé, 25, arrived at Fulham in August 2010 from Dutch club AZ. Initially an attacking midfielder and wide forward, the Belgian was moved to central midfield last season by Fulham Manager Martin Jol. Dembele found success at the position, becoming a major creative force of the Fulham attack.
