Now that the Luka Modric transfer saga is finally over it's time for Tottenham Hotspur to move on. As we've seen in Spurs' first two games the club lacks a creative midfielder to really drive the team forward and make use of the possession that the team has. Fortunately, with the money raised from the sale of Modric Spurs have some money to purchase a player to fill that role. Unfortunately a lot of the players that could have filled that role have already changed clubs this summer.
This is the problem with doing your business late in the transfer period. Player like Marvin Martin, Joe Allen, and Nuri Sahin have already changed clubs this offseason. That leaves Spurs with only a few real options. The ones being thrown around are Yann M'Vila, Joao Moutinho, and Moussa Dembele. I would expect Esteban Granero's name to be added to that list in the near future due to the "partnership" between Real Madrid and Spurs.
Let's build a consensus here. Who do you want to come in to replace Luka Modric? Let's have this discussion be totally separate from price. Obviously if Player A costs £25 million and Player B only costs £15 that's a point in Player B's favor. However, let's just look at the attributes that each player would bring to the team.
