This is my first post to you guys, I love the site and I'm a huge Spurs fan. Im a bit disappointed, as much as most of you guys here, that DL is such a jerk when it comes to getting what he wants and ruining everything for us. We shouldve been in the drivers seat for some time during the pre season and we came into the season once again unprepared. It seems DL doesnt like buying strikers, only midfielders....strange, I mean we have a spectacular midfield and of course the loss of modric will be huge, but i think we can still cope. I think however we need to go for more guys under the radar. Aside from damiao, whom im begging we can manage to sign, Ive been looking at young prospects for years whom we would do well in snatching up. First, we need a goalie (after we sign damaio/ade/ect...). Friedel is great, but the man is 41 and he's not getting younger. I still think he'll do great for us this year but this is my suggestion. I think Marc Andre ter Stegen is a fantastic goalie for Borussia....Macgladbach?....the kid's only 19 or so and he's a top keeper, being tipped to be the heir to oliver kahn. what we should do is this, sign him up. keep friedel as #1, use ter stegen as his protege and use him in europa to build experience. come next year, he will be far better than de gea and will do wonders for us for years to come. he can probably come much cheaper than lloris too seeing as how not too many clubs know about him/are targeting him. next, aside from a creative midfielder, if we're looking for more defensive options (a cheaper alternative to M'villa), Ive been watching a young mexican talent by the name of Jorge Enriquez who is phenominal for club and country. his run in the olympics was outstanding in both defense and attack, again under the radar and may be a younger and cheaper alternative to most targets. I'm alright with the others we've been targeted with, however these players might be better shots due to lower fees, wages, and well under the radar as that we can get deals past other clubs and quickly. Its worth a shot but we'll see how things go. (God I wish I could be the owner of this team.....) #COYS!
