In January of 2011, Tottenham bought winger Steven Pienaar from Everton for 3 million pounds. Exactly 18 months, 0 goals, and 10 appearances later, Daniel Levy sells Pienaar back to Everton for a 1.5 million pound profit. So if you're doubting Daniel Levy in his negotiations with Real Madrid on Luka Modric, or on anything else, don't do it. Just don't. On rejoining Everton:

"I am happy to be here. It took a few weeks to sort out but I am delighted to be back and excited to play for Everton."

"There was no doubt in my mind that I would be back here. At the end of the season I told the manager how I felt and I am happy now it is all done."

Pienaar will wear 22 for Everton. Anyways, that is one more piece of deadwood sold from the team, and for a decent amount of money, which for me signals that the TOTTENHAM SPENDING SPREE, SUMMER '12 is only just kicking into high gear. Moutinho's still being bandied about, along with Lloris, Cazorla, and a striker with a working leg looking to come in. On the flip side, Bentley still exists, as does Jermaine Jenas. Giovani Dos Santos' future will be cleared up more when he can finally get together with the team. The most exciting summer in recent Tottenham memory continues.
