Well, I got most of my wishes. Tottenham Hotspur's lineup for their friendly against the LA Galaxy could best be described as experimental, which is good, considering that the Galaxy won't have their best team out there tonight. If Andre Villas-Boas wanted to get weird in a preseason game, this is the one to do it in. Gareth Bale will play on the right while Gylfi Sigurdsson will play in a double pivot behind Rafael Van der Vaart. Will it work well? Probably not, but who cares? I'm happy to see us give it a shot. Here are the lineups.
Tottenham Hotspur Lineup (4-2-3-1): Cudicini; Bassong, Vertonghen, Kaboul, Walker; Livermore, Sigurdsson; Townsend, Van der Vaart, Bale; Defoe
LA Galaxy Lineup (4-4-2): Perk; Lopes, DeLaGarza, Gonzalez, Gaul; Jimenez, Stephens, Sarvas, Franklin; Keane, Villarreal
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. local time, 10:30 p.m. ET and 3:30 p.m. in the UK from the Home Depot Center. You can catch the game on ESPN3 in the USA or ESPN TV in the UK. You can also watch streaming on Spurs TV in the UK if you have purchased a subscription.
