Super happy fun rumor time, boys and girls! The Daily Fail has a column called 'The Insider', which is about the most ridiculous thing that I've ever heard in my life. In today's edition of the recurring feature, their man is linking us to Inter Milan's 19-year-old Dutch attacker Luc Castaignos, who has failed to break into the first team for the Nerazzurri.
He made a name for himself in Serie A by scoring a late winner against Siena during Inter's long period of struggles, but that was it for his highlight-worthy performances at the San Siro last season. Understandably, he didn't get a whole lot of chances while sitting behind Diego Forlan, Giampaolo Pazzini, Diego Milito and Mauro Zarate.
I haven't seen a lot of Castaignos, but I did watch that Siena game and he certainly was impressive in that performance. His strike rate for Feyenoord and the Dutch youth international teams suggest that he's a pretty fantastic talent who just needs the right situation. Any Inter fans/Dutch football nerds who can provide the world with more info?
