The Daily Mail has released a piece of rumoring, stating that Tottenham Hotspur will release striker Louis Saha. Saha, 33, arrived to Spurs in January on a free transfer. he tallied four goals in 13 appearances for Spurs this season. There is little confirmation of this rumor from other sources, and Saha's Twitter gives no inclination that the French striker is leaving Tottenham Hotspur. We will follow up if some more reputable sources confirm the move.
If Saha were to leave Tottenham Hotspur, the thin forward ranks would become even more barren, with Jermian Defoe the only remaining first-team striker under contract. Chairman Daniel Levy is supposedly in discussions to bring back Emmanuel Adebayor on full transfer, as well as being linked to French striker Loic Remy.
However, Saha's supposed departure could signal a youth movement for Tottenham Hotspur, with Millwall-loanee Harry Kane the likely beneficiary of the playing time. Kane is coming off a strong loan for the Lions, where he tallied nine goals in 27 appearances. At age 18 and currently featuring with the England U-19's, Kane could be a contender to play out his first full season with Tottenham Hotspur in 2012-13.
