The Daily Mail is reporting (god I love those five words in that order) that the FA is going to approach Harry Redknapp to manage the England national team. They're also reporting that the FA will approach Roy Hodgson just in case Harry tells them to piss off. Neither man will get offered the vast riches that Fabio Capello previously received for his services.

This is, by far, my favorite BS journalism technique. The Daily Mail reports rubbish every day and they're an absolutely massive paper, so they're going to keep reporting rubbish because people like it. They know that the people want an Englishman to manage England, and the FA has said publicly that their preference is to hire an Englishman if there's one that they feel is qualified. Harry's the obvious choice, but just in case Daniel Levy has two words for the FA, they threw down the name of the next most qualified Englishman.
