Happy Tuesday, Spursland! We are back to our regularly scheduled Hoddle of Awesome today. It would appear that the dark days are over and we only need five more wins in order for all of our dreams to come true ... or something. I don't know. Harry is saying things again and I am not sure he even knows who he saying them too so, you know, back to normal.
And now the "news"
I like this Bilic fellow more and more, mostly because he is right. Spurs are a plenty big club to play at. You get to play in top competitions in a top league and the only thing you don't get is the grossly obscene amounts of money to go with it. Just the regular obscene amounts of money.
Look at the Dutchman doing a little recruiting. I like it, but this is a square peg in a round hole deal. ADEBAYOR WILL NOT BE HERE NEXT YEAR. Lets accept it and start scouting for a like-for-like replacement. If anybody says Leandro in the comments in response to this, I will render my garments, because he will not be coming either.
Is anybody getting a "Major League" vibe about this? But for the life of me I don't know who the cardboard cut out would be of in this scene. I would hope that it wouldn't be of Arsene, but, really, who else could it be?
What's happening around SB Nation after the jump
A must read article on what Peter Crouch's goal last week, you know the one, means in the wider more abstract sense. Seriously, read it.
To say I hate this would be an understatement. I hate all-star games for even existing, but if they must exist then please do them right. One half of the league versus the other half of the league based on some arbitrary geographical dividing line. If you can't do the simple things right then just don't do them at all. Eat It, MLS.
I give you The Benign Pony Tail.
