Free From Prison, Harry Has The England Job In His Sights
Harry Redknapp is a free man and will remain so until an inability to spell becomes a crime, but how much longer will he be at White Hart Lane? The focus in the last few months has been on Harry's tax evasion case and rightfully so. The manager of the English Premier League's third place club was facing possible jail time. That was always going to be the focus, but now going forward, Spurs need to focus on their new reality. A reality that their manager might leave them, not for prison, but for England.
This isn't a radical suggestion by any means. Ever since The FA decided that an Englishman will be England's next manager because ENGLAND! (doesn't have quite the same ring as MURICAH!), Harry has been the favorite to win the job when Fabio Capello steps down this summer. After all, if not Harry, the options are Sam Alardyce, Stuart Pearce and Roy Hodgson. It's not exactly a sterling group.
The problem with hiring Harry has been his court case. He has been facing jail time for three years now and even if he avoiding jail time, it would be difficult to hire a man convicted of tax evasion to lead that country's football team. Harry's been cleared now though. He was found not guilty of all charges and in the eyes of the law and the country, he is an innocent man. There are no longer any barriers to his being named England manager, a job he has admitted to coveting.
So Harry's free and clear now and he go back to being a wheeler and dealer. Excuse me, "a fucking football manager." Spurs can get back on the straight and narrow and look to secure a third, or maybe even second place finish, but all is not calm at White Hart Lane. Don't forget. England is looming.

Fabio Capello!
But seriously, I have no idea what his club coaching style is like, and that’s hard to glean from watching the extremely inconsistent England National team and all of their drama. Is he even someone Spurs would consider? Or are Spurs a club that would interest him? Maybe he’ll want to stick around London a bit longer?
Capello is way underrated as England manager
I think this is a mixture of people WAY overrating how England, a nation of 40 million or so, should perform, what was obviously a dismal 2010 World Cup, and reaction to his status as a shifty foreigner who speaks spotty english. We forget that Capello gave England the most comfortable WC qualifying campaign in ages AND got them into the Euros without any real problems.
Since becoming England manager, Capello has had a 66.7% winning percentage.
McClaren was at 50%, Sven was at 59%, Keegan was at 38%, Hoddle had a surprisingly high 60%, while Veneables, Taylor, and Robson were ALL under 50%.
There is an argument to be made that none of this matters if he doesn’t get them to perform at major tournaments, but I’d say that he is the best manager England have had in decades and managing a far less impressive pool of talent than Sven had.

Who would want this job now?
Unimaginable scrutiny, crushing pressure, and an FA that constantly undermines you/goes behind your back? I’m not so sure they’ll be able to attract a marquee manager.

I was misinformed.
He hasn’t quit, and it’s sounding now like he’s committed to coaching the Egyptian National team, but in the current state in Egypt, all soccer has been suspended, the man who hired him and his staff at the Egyptian Football Association have been fired, and there’s a lot of uncertainty on whether they will be playing their qualifier against the Central African Republic at the end of the month.
So
Brendan Rodgers?
I saw a girl crying tonight. When I asked why she said: "Because everybody lost."

Hopefully Harry will at least finish up the season before packing his bags.

That's not a given.
The FA will likely want to appoint a new permanent manager as soon as possible. This could move very, very quickly.

Would HAVE to imagine that the cirucmstances of Capello's departure have soured more than a few candidates on this job.

This will be interesting
By all accounts Levy and the club were ready to be 100% behind Harry even if the trial ended poorly. The whole ordeal might have left Harry less willing to leave Spurs.

That's a good point.
Harry even said in post-trial comments how moved he was by the support he was shown by Daniel Levy and the fans during this trial.
