AVB has worked his way out of his selection problems. Gallas has been relegated to the bench (except when Dawson or Caulker was injured), Kyle Naughton was allowed to play at his preferred right back position rather than being a right footed player on the left. The backline pecking order seems obvious and I believe it has been settled correctly. Lloris adds extra protection to a backline and I am eager to see Walker-Vertonghen-Caulker-Benny.

Dempsey & Gylfi look settled. Gylfi has been showing glimpses in his Europa League appearances but his 25 minute cameo was extremely strong and he showed a confidence that he hasnt yet. Clint looks settled, play an absolute deadly ball to Defoe for that 3rd goal and through all 3 games he has find his spot on this team.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Parker, Benny and Kaboul return but they will add much needed depth and with an impact striker or #10 brought into the squad in January, the top 4 is looking even more probable.
