Our Royal Air Force midfielder is back, guys. Scott Parker is set to return to the Tottenham Hotspur first team this weekend as the team hosts Swansea City on Sunday. Parker, 32, has yet to play this season for Spurs after re-injuring his recurring Achilles problem in this summer's European Championships.

Parker played a full 90 minutes on Monday as the Tottenham U-21s fell 2-1 to Sunderland.

"Scott was outstanding in his application, attitude and how he managed the game," said Senior Professional Phase Coach, Chris Ramsey.

It seems unlikely Parker will break back into the starting XI, as the combo of Mousa Dembele and Sandro have proved a potent duo. However, Parker clearly has a value to this current Spurs team. As Tottenham has continued to struggle to hold onto late game leads,

Parker can provide an anchor in the midfield to control possession and break up the opposition's play. As Dembele continues to regain his stamina, Parker stands out as the man who can clearly help bolster the Spurs midfield late in games.
