Depending on the player included, it might actually be a good move. Carroll maybe worthless to Liverpool because the style of play and service doesn’t match his game. Could it be he’s more comfortable as a poacher/ play to feet than as a target man? Plus the pressure and price tag has a negative effect on his psychi (sic) than he and Liverpool is letting on?
Tottenham Hotspurs, Penn State, and Winthrop are the only things that made me cry in my adult life.

I'd have taken him for that a year ago
but the damage has been done by that 35m. He needs to go somewhere where he can keep his head down and find his game again without the ridiculous pressure he sees up in Liverpool.

And really, he was quality at Toon. If we don’t get him, someone else will and I can see him making us all regret picking him up if he lands somewhere like Everton or QPR.

OH God no.
I honestly believe Pav is an immensely more talented player than Carrol. If Harry sells Pav and buys Carrol it’s because he’s an English lad. Ugh, my Liverpool friend will give me SO much shit if that happens. I constantly tease him about what a waste of money Carrol has been.
Pav is talented
His work rate is horrible and it’s what holds him back. If he had a high work rate he’d be phenomenal because technically he’s great. Still don’t really want Andy Carrol though. Although Harry might know how to rejuvenate him.

The funny thing about Carroll is I think most of us would have been psyched to get him last year for 10 million. I think he can be a solid player, but the way Spurs are playing now I don’t think he fits in.

Why do people assume a player is going to be crap on the team ? Carrol played pretty well when he was at Newcastle and whose to say he wouldn’t do well with us ? I think Liverpool an spurs play differently enough, there wouldn’t be a lot of price tag pressure should he move at spurs and I’d back Harry to be a good enough coach to restore his self belief. I don’t think Carrol would be the worst idea

I just think he'd slow us down
Spurs are evolving into a quick, intricate passing team and that doesn’t really suit the big fella. He’s not as bad as Liverpool are making him seem, but I’m not convinced Tottenham is a good fit, either.

I'm not sure Carroll has the track record to back up all this hype
What has he done? He had a really good year in the championship and a promising half season in the Premier league before getting an ugly expensive albatross thrown around his neck and completely failing to perform on every level. And let’s not forget that the England manager saw enough of this guy to criticize his lifestyle publicly.
A move would probably do the guy good, but going to another high pressure club is not where he is going to thrive.
