Scott Parker Hands In Transfer Request To West Ham; Tottenham Move Imminent?
We've discussed Scott Parker ad nausem on this site over the last few days, so I think we're all hopeful that a deal can get settled very soon so that we can stop talking about this. And if it doesn't...well, the worst case scenario is that we don't get to stop talking about this until Thursday. That's not so bad. We're now one step closer towards Parker becoming a Tottenham Hotspur player, as he's handed in a transfer request with West Ham United.
The club issued a statement on the transfer request on their official side and included quotes from Parker regarding his decision to ask to leave the club.
"I have had a fantastic four years at West Ham United and will never forget all the support I have had from the fans and everyone associated with the club.
"The manager and board have tried hard to convince me to stay but at this stage in my career, I need to be playing in the Premier League, especially now that I am involved with England.
"I hope the fans will understand and respect my decision and I wish the club every success in their fight for promotion this season."
Though initially opposed to this deal, I've come around upon hearing about the price and seeing how bad we are when we have a couple of injuries in midfield. We seriously need a player like Parker, and whether or not I personally rate him isn't relevant. He theoretically fills a need and he isn't expensive, and for that reason, I'm behind this.

Imagine him playing alongside Luka
His hair will look even better, next to the little guy’s mullet….
God, imagine him and Bentley in the midfield together.

Dreamy!
