All January long, Tottenham Hotspur were linked to transfers for Atletico Madrid forwards Sergio Aguero and Diego Forlan. Ultimately, one of two things probably happened. Either Atleti were demanding too high of a price for the players, or Tottenham were never that interested in the first place. Based on the fact that these rumors keep perpetuating themselves, the latter scenario seems increasingly unlikely.
Okay, I think that Forlan and Aguero are fine players. However, we have to take into consideration the fact that they look like TOTAL SHIT this season. I try to keep the cursing to a minimum, here, but there's no better word to describe the current form of Aguero and Forlan, as well as Atletico as a whole, than "shit." They're really, really terrible. I'm willing to give both players the benefit of the doubt because they're both wildly talented, but when a team sucks and a player on that team is in bad form, we shouldn't be throwing tons of cash at that player. Not to mention, where do these guys fit into our system, anyway?
I am very sick of these rumors.
