Happy Wednesday Spursland! Just four short days until we sack Newcastle like the Scots during the English Civil War. Obscure British history references FTW?

And now the "news"

Leyton Orient Extend Alnwick Loan By Two Months-Sky Sports

Who is Ben Alnwick? Seriously, we don't even have a picture of the guy.

Nobody Wants The Olympic Stadium-BBC

So pretty much everyone except Spurs supporters goes away pissed at the end of the "Boringest Saga Ever". Well not really, Levy and Spurs management never really wanted the Olympic, they just used it as a bargaining ploy to get more money for the Northumberland Development Project. But Orient gets screwed big time, and West Ham, whose fans don't want it, won't even be allowed to buy it, just rent it. It's been an absurdly good time to be a Spurs fan in the last few weeks, for once it's everyone else getting crapped on.

Liverpool To Challenge EPL's Collective TV Rights Bargaining Arrangement-Anfield Asylum

This is a great idea, if you are Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal. If you are any other team in English football this is the worst idea ever. Don't think it will have that big of an economic impact? What do you think is going on in Spain right now, where teams negotiate individual TV rights and more than a few top flight teams and almost every Segunda team is bankrupt or rapidly going bankrupt.

USMNT Loses 1-0 Against Ecuador-SB Nation Soccer

I'm not pushing the panic button on the Jurgen Klinsman era yet. Yes, he has lost three of five games, but these games are friendlies, they don't mean shit to anyone who didn't pay for a ticket. These games are about figuring out who will be in the squad and how it is going to work leading up to World Cup qualifying. But don't be fooled by that spin job I just did, the USMNT played horrible last night and there isn't much else to be said about it than that.
